Ever since Lenin, for the left, the means justify the ends. If the goal is a
'cleaner planet,' a less inequitable distribution of wealth or what have
you, then any propoganda that can acheive that goal, whether true or not, is
allowed.

For the left, 'truth' is not as high a virtue as egalitarianism,
post-industrialism, environmentalism etc. Truth is a poor sister to these
other, more worthy goals, in their mindset.
