44MM today

From 9pm on the 24th to 12 noon on the 26th a total of 44MM fell here in
Bradninch (mid-Devon). Therefore it has been the wettest spell for 45 months
or 3 years /9 months.

Thundery weekend coming up?

Funnel clouds

Funnel Clouds witnessed over mid Devon today in the Tiverton area. I was
under one and looked up to find the whole cloud rotating. These didn't get
that far down from cloud base.

Looking at the latest rainfall situation it seems to be pivoting away from

Its going to be a dry month!

Here in Mid Devon (Exeter) have only had 17.2MM so far this month, and if it
stays like that it will be the joint lowest January rainfall on record (17
years). 1997 we had 17.2MM as well.

Cold spell coming again

Cold spell coming up again but are we going to miss out again on snow in the
Exeter area or is there going to be that long awaited low coming up from

Exeter driest place in the country?

Everyone else seems to be getting a deluge but here in Exeter we have only

Lightning in the SW tonight?

Looking at the LDS is picking up lightning in the Channel at 21:50.

Here at Bradninch, mid Devon, we have had the hottest day since August 1995
with 32.1C.
