Felixstowe dock METAR / SYNOP observatories?

Whilst there are a few personal weather station in Felixstowe I would have though that
Felixstowe docks or Harwich must have METAR / SYNOP observatories for the shipping.
Does anyone have a link...

These strange columns of light shinning from the sky in Latvia were
caused by the natural phenomena of ice crystals reflecting bright light
on to the ground - and not by UFOs
