Jetstream going "backwards" over the UK next week

Just got a snow report from a mate at GLA stating ppn is coming from
the NE, i.e. over Loch Lomond, which is not the expected direction.
Anybody got an explanation, I presume it couldn't be lake...

I know all kinds of caveats have to be applied and as yet unknown
variables considered, however I've been keeping an eye on GFS
suggesting the approach of some chilly air at the turn of the month...
