What it's like to be at the centre of a deep low

With 193.7 mm of rain so far this month, I am hopeful of getting my
first ever "200 up" by midnight. I feel nearly as excited at the
prospect as Will when he hit 400 the other day, lol.

Here at Frampton Cotterell i have recorded 37mm so far today and at my Yate

Rain total 83mm

A new record 24hr total for me here. A massive 83mm (I came home from work
in a cloud burst at 6.35am and the gauge was already full, and I was unable
to get out and empty it for 35mins)

little chilly sitting at the game, though the score warmed me up.

Cold day again

Max yesterday was 5.9c today just 5.2c with steady rain and drizzle both
days though not big totals.

9.2mm Sat, 7.3mm Sunday.

Why are we breaking records ?

Could someone please explain to me why we are breaking records this
November?? surely we have had strong southerlies in Nov from the exact same
location as they are blowing from now? so can anybody...
