Just compared MO for East Midlands this week with Wetterzentrale GFS.

getting seriously fed up with the lack of rainfall

Walked across some playing fields today that I last walked on the 20th

rainfall radar East Anglia

Currently shows negligible rainfall, yet outside it is absoloutely
lashing it down.

Has to be the longest continuous spell of rain since 2008? 26.5 hrs
and counting here in Peterborough

Whats the point of forecasts that dont turn out to be correct ?

The probability of correct forecasting is something that has been
rattling around in my head for a while.

If on Day 1 of a 5 day forecast I'm told Rain is on the way only for
this forecast to change...

Midlands ?

Looks to me to be plenty of Precipitation forecast and a dewpoint
hovering around 1 degree to -1 degree

Measured and "Useable" rainfall

The Drought in the East Midlands continues. Todays low brought barely
1mm to NW Cambs. Rainfall since Mid August has been less than 20mm and
for the year just 205mm.

My point is, of the 205 mm most...
