![]() The Drought in the East Midlands continues. Todays low brought barely 1mm to NW Cambs. Rainfall since Mid August has been less than 20mm and for the year just 205mm. My point is, of the 205 mm most has come in 1-5mm showers which have evaporated before then ever reach plant roots. Is it worth a different measuring system for rain which actually reached plant roots and promotes growth. Of the 205mm, less than 100mm has come in bursts of greater than 10mm, which i would suggest is a "useful rain event" Ned |
