Presently foggy here at 12.22 with a small amount of snow/ice still
lying in places. Temperature +3.3deg C with DP +2.2degC.

What a miserable day :-(

Ashford - a Foggy thaw

Ashford, Kent : 1.8deg C, DP 0.9 deg C . Approximately 3"- 4" fresh
snow overnight, but I couldn't get an accurate measurement because it
was already thawing when I got up this morning....

Impressively low temperatures in the SE this evening

In the end the lowest temperature here was -8.6, with a dewpoint of
-10. Presently it is -2.2, dewpoint -3.3 & just started snowing.

I had to laugh - I've just seen a STEAM train passing at the back of
my house! Yes, at 23.10 - obviously in preparation for tomorrow's

Just to add to the list, it was -5.6 here in Ashford, Kent just as it
got dark. It is now -8.1 at 22.10 with a dewpoint of -9.3. It's
getting a little nippy!

Heavy Snow Ashford, Kent 11/02/10

Heavy snow for most of the night here in Ashford, Kent with some
drifting in the strong winds. 130mm measured at 14.30 on the level.
Hopefully this is the last of the white stuff we'll see here...
