0.5cm wet snow E Northants. 8z-9z.
Settled on grass, cars, roofs.
Hard surfaces wet.
Drove to work Near Leicster 11:30z.

Hi Jim,

Similar in the East of the county. A bit colder with min of -4.2C
and max of 5.6C. Lot of hoar survived the day.
-3.5C here at midnight.

I've always thought it a bit daft when recording 09-09 that particularly
In winter your 09 obs of for example -2C is quite often your min for the
next 09-09 period if there is a change to a milder...

09GMT-09GMT for my manual readings that I use for my records and 00-24 for my DVP which I use for rain intensity etc
00-24 makes more sense to me, but I followed the standard convention here

Hi Jim, yes we do get quite a variation in Northants.
Far SW nearly in Cotswolds, far NE nearly in the fens.
Several times I've visited Northampton to find 15cm snow while in Raunds
just 1-2cm....

Looking at radar loop think we both got of lightly. Seen some data for NE Northants with less than 3mm.

Got off even lighter in Raunds. Just 7.1mm.
Enjoyed just how cool and fresh it felt in the afternoon.
Pleasant after the frontal cloud cleared at 4pm.
