Yes but not that often.
Have a look at these photos I took of the Cb clouds in the distant before it
got too dark- first one digitally enhanced to make them more visible. 2nd
one was taken...

No problems George - one of those things you have to spot first then start
watching - I just caught one by accident. Some of them are now nice long

I have been watching lightning for around 40 minutes now from a line of Cb
clouds way way in the distance to the N-West of here. Approx 1 strike/30
seconds - to 1 strike/minute. They are lightning...

Can someone tell me why it feels so close here in Essex tonight ? I thought
that was linked to humidity - but the RH is only 40% and temp is 31.4 -
feels like pea-soup. You can almost feel the air...

I've found my Strikealert very accurate - although it seems to pick up
intereference from CRTs switch on/off even more than...

Adrian - hi there again,
I think that red-echo is Anaprop - due to the current conditions - quite
typical for that area of the country.
Could be a huge storm - but I doubt it - I'm sure someone...

Had the same here Tom - just as I was going to sleep - almost thought I was
dreaming it raining as it was totally unexpected !
