The weather presenter on BBC SouthEast a few minutes ago said

Don't despair yet Norman,the Met Office could be bought by Sky and make

For that, we give him full marks. He's quirky, but so was Ian McCaskill, I can't see why he is villified so much, at least he doesn't trot out the same old clichés. John Kettley used to adopt a matey and informal approach, but everyone liked him. Might it be something to do with Dan's accent - too plummy and upper-class sounding for some? Martin |
