Default constant uk temperature

Odd that driving from Southampton to Nottingham on Monday late afternoon the
temperature stayed at 13degc all the way . My temp gauge is quite accurate I
even thought it had packed up ! It has since moved on. Never driven through
such a consistent temperature

You prompted me to try the same experiment when I had to do an 18 mile
round trip today in S Cambs and NW Essex this morning.

Ground varied from around 300 feet above sea level to 440 asl. The
whole journey was in low cloud with fog on the higher stretches, so
effectively temperature and dewpoint were the same throughout. (100%
humidity)

My readings (not necessarily perfectly accurate, but can be used for
comparison) were 13.2 or 13.3C, amazingly constant.

Strange isn't it . Being a biker you get used to constant temperature
changes so a constant of around 13 is weird for such long distances let
alone local
