BRACKNELL (TF)
0900 WNW F3 40km - SKC T021D-001
RMK: between 0130 and 0145Z, within shaft of +RA (heavy rain), a
considerable fall of small hail (+GS) - the residue of which is still
evident in patches on grass, pavements etc.
[ OVERNIGHT DATA (18Z - 09Z):
screen min: 02.1 grass min: 00.1 precipitation: 9.9
other data: night max: 7.6degC, also the 24hr max in early hours. ]

RMK: cirrus very thin/tenuous, and Ac a couple of small patches,
visible only because the moon has just arisen. A fine day today - crisp
& sunny.

screen max: 05.5 precipitation: NIL
other data: surfaces damp ]=

***** (Additional to remarks at 09Z ob ... inspecting the hail character
and the way it settled in the gauge funnel etc., I would assume that
there was some element of 'loss' due to blocking of the funnel for a
time - but no way of estimating the scale of such.)
