Default OTish - concerns WS2300 station

If any of you have had the same problem with the WS2300, i have found a way
around it. The WS2300 transfers data from the console to the PC via
telephone wire with a female DB9 connector, this recently ceased to function
for some reason, and i looked all around the internet for to buy a
replacement lead, to no avail. I came across some instructions on how to
make my own lead, and with a few modifications this evening tried it out. I
got out the soldering iron and using a female DB9 connector (serial port)
and an rj-11 telephone connector cable, i managed to make a replacement
lead, and what do you know it worked. Now the lead is replaced, and data
retrieval from the console is now operational once again.

Not bad for an upper sixth student.

Mike
