maxima over 20C with another 26 days with maxima between 15C and 20C.
The end of the month was particularly warm with 20.2C on the 27th and
20.6C on the 30th. The first half of the month was especially dry, with
only about 7mm up to and including the 15th, including a dry spell from
the 2nd to the 10th inclusive. October was the 3rd consecutive month
with below-average rainfall: only 1 month in the last 14 (July) has
exceeded the average for rainfall.
