Was in Birmingham today and got caught short in a torrential downpour at
the QE hospital in the south of the city. Only about 15 minutes of heavy rainfall just around 11am, but enought to cause seven roads to flood on the way into the city centre. The main road through to village of Curdworth was also heavily flooded at about 11:30am with water forcing itself out of manhole covers. Would be interesting to know how much rain fell at that time in the area! On returning to Canterbury this evening, I was caught out by another sharp, heavy shower at about 7:45pm. -- Jonathan Stott Canterbury Weather: http://www.canterburyweather.co.uk/ Reverse my e-mail address to reply by e-mail |
