Up in the Mach/Aberhosan district they had a fair night and early
morning. From Lampeter up past Llanrhystud and down South to near
Cardigan there were areas where heavy rain did not stop from around 6pm
Monday to past 4pm Tuesday.
I was in contact with someone in Lower Cwmtwrch/Ystradgynlais area at
around 10am Tuesday and he had a 'normally' wet night and dry morning,
yet there were stories of severe flooding in the area and down to Neath
by tea time. Mind you, he was a fair way up the hill and not down in the
valley. That contraflow over the river in Cwmtwrch must be a sight to
behold when the river is at its angriest.

Indeed. Does it still run across the road or did the recent works fix
that?

The road is unusual in that the westbound? carriageway crosses the river to
the left for a few hundred yards before crossing back again to meet its
other half. It is a fairly wide river with evidence of mass flow but I have
only ever passed while it is trickling peacefully along.

It used to get "interesting" when in spate but there were major works
there a couple of years ago so I'll assume they fixed it.
