I've now added these ... they can be accessed directly,
typos permitting, at www.climate-uk.com/indices/12.htm and www.climate-uk.com/indices/02.htm Interesting to note that the unprecedented surge of westerliness in February from the late-1980s is still close to its peak in 1995-2004, whereas December has just about reached its lowest level of westerliness in over 130 years. The fluctuations on the December graphs, especially the westerliness one, have a much less cyclical character than those for January and February. Philip Eden |
