Deep red sunset here this evening, picture does not do it any kind of
justice. Just SW of Benson, Oxon. http://www.jochta.com/images/sunset20051114.JPG |

You know one of my over riding memory's of the Autumn of 1962 was some of the sunsets. As I was only a very young lad - steady- I remember thinking how weak and watery the sun looked as it set, of course todays bore no resemblance whatsover. |

writes Deep red sunset here this evening, picture does not do it any kind of justice. Just SW of Benson, Oxon. http://www.jochta.com/images/sunset20051114.JPG Very spectacular in Chalfont St Giles as well. Streaks of thick cirrus underlit a bright orange colour and layered across a sky that was dark blue overhead, bright blue at 45 degrees and turquoise towards the western horizon. If I had seen a sky like that on a painting I would have said that the painter had used quite a bit of artistic licence. The colours seemed too vivid to be real. Norman. Deep red sunset here this evening, picture does not do it any kind of
justice. Just SW of Benson, Oxon. This was the view in Leysdown, north Kent - it was a fantastic sunset which was *much* more vivid than the picture shows. http://www.medvale.demon.co.uk/west.jpg |

BAH! well not being one to show off I hate saying that here's one I took earlier 16:15 to be precise. http://www.turnerhome.org/photos/08-03-im/im-50.JPG It's the view looking wsw over the Sava Centre Car park which flooded this afternoon due the Global warming. Actually it was the Icelands freezer section experiencing a severe power failure. It's strange though even at times of disaster things can manifest a melting quality. |
