That looks nothing more than cold, sunny and breezy (if not living on the
coast) unless there were embedded troughs in the flow bringing us similar
events to that of 28th January 2004.

2m temperature charts, dewpoints etc are available beyond T+180 now from
Wetterzentrale. I'm not sure when the change happened but it'll make looking
at those fantasy charts more interesting in the winter!

That chart looks goofed. Everynow and again these LRF's come up with very
odd, unrealistic looking charts and that is one of them to me.
Nice find though, Keith. Lets hope it comes off. .

Joe,

They may not be resolved by the GFS, but you cannot have a flow like that
without troughs and other interesting "features" embedded.

A "traditional" GFS chart for 16 days out during the winter months. Bet
you the next run looks nothing like that.
