Default Metcheck availability?

Metcheck Timed out just now - was after temperature forecast. BBC has
been a bit more realistic on minima of late, anyway.

Met Office also timing out.

Ceefax may not go far enough ahead.

Not the 'net itself, because Google and FT articles load fast.

I don't usually visit metcheck but just had a look. It works fine for me.

I had a go on their white christmas predictor. Apparently there's a 60%
chance of a white christmas in Hampshire! Though I checked several
other counties and they all showed 60%, so I assume it's broken.

My white christmas predictor is working ok . It says a 30% chance, also the
same for all counties. Method used - "the wild guess method."
See whose closest ;-)

I imagine it's simply a case of the Metcheck and MO servers being unable
to cope with the number of people trying to access them. The more
"interesting" the weather, the more likely that is to happen.
