Snow has almost stopped for a while now. I didn't realise how wonderfully clear
the polar air was till now. Lovely webcam image at 1012. Can see the sea as if
it were just a mile away with sunny skies on the other side of Lyme Bay. Also
snow lying evident in Torquay, Newton Abbot, Teignmouth right down to sea level.
Quite something for November.

Snow depth here 5 cms and powdery. Small drifts in places.

The country bus took 5 minutes to slither past our house on the ice, but the
plough has done an excellent job keeping the main road clear. Thanks Devon CC!

Temp -1.4 deg C. A beautiful winter's day.

Will.

1040

I know I have to keep telling myself that !

Heavy line of snow on radar just to west of me. The NW of Dartmoor must be
catching a packet now. Temp has fallen to -1.7 deg C now here. Pressure still
falling but main feed now seems to be west of me, so perhaps not too much more
for Haytor. But low confidence :-)

Will have to call my relatives in Abbotskerswell to see how they're faring.
They're not the biggest snow fans!

Are you archiving the images, Will? Would be interesting to see a timelapse
of today what with all the intermittent heavy snow and clearances.

Good idea Richard, I do save 30 hours worth online every hour, but I haven't set
up any links to them yet. My ISP only gives me 20Mbytes web space for
everything at the price so I'm still considering that.

http://www.lyneside.demon.co.uk/Hayt...c/kabcam03.jpg presently shows
the 0922 image. Change 03 to 02 to get more recent etc. The numbering will
change every hour of course. Eg.
http://www.lyneside.demon.co.uk/Hayt...c/kabcam30.jpg shows what it was
like two days ago! That one will disappear next hour. Hope that's clear.

From what I can tell with binoculars Abbotskerswell has snow, but I would have
thought the roads would be OK lower down. Unlike our lane which few cars can get
up. Will go out later and put down some grit. Temp still -1.3 at 1145 but sun
has been out! Snow lovely and fluffy in the garden.

Cheers,

Will.

Bugger all here in Raynes Park, but we're only at 15m so I would imagine
anything we get would be sleety.

If you can pile over the files from today I could find a way to make them
into an mpeg.

Richard

Cheers Richard, I'll e-mail them later this evening. Quite late in fact.
