Default I'm very frightened :-(

Metoffice UK warnings of severe weather in my area tonight (Yorkshire and
Lincolnshire)

"Widespread Icy Roads & Heavy Snow"

No snow yet but don't think I'll sleep tonight - temperature already
plummeted to +2°C. (Just checked again and it's dropped to +1.9°C - even
more scary)

*Very* frightening !!!

It could be worse.....how about a bone numbing +1.5 c.

They are also warning of temperatures of -30 at 30,000 feet. It's time to
really worry.

-30 deg C at ground level - now that is REALLY frightening.
Seriously, compared with places embedded in continental USA, Europe or
Russia, we don't know what cold weather really is.
We have it walm and balmy compared with some of those places.
Regards Mike.

Watching that "Broken News" on BBC2 last night, they have some good weather
forecast spoofs.

"A Severe Height Warning has been issued for upland areas in Yorkshire and
Cumbria..."

Also the "joshing" on the local news section between the presenters and the
weatherman is cringe-makingly well done
