12Z UK GM has interesting shape at T+144 too. If the midday EC run is
anything like the midnight one, then it's game on I reckon..

I think you'll find they're all outliers.......basically a dry anticyclonic
signal with patchy fog and frost. Risk of RASH down the east coast.........

Yep thats what it looked like early this year
look what happened, the more showers u get
the lower the temp drops and it finds it
harder to recover temp wise. Especially at night its great
streamers from the north sea that was due to
be light snow showers again we had like 10cm
overnight.

But anyway long way yet still could get worse
or better.

From the ten seconds I was able to poke around before the ECM website
crashed (for the second day in a row) it's a cold 'un (for T+168 at least).

Tomorrow's model rundown should be fun to write...

The GFS operational was backed up quite well with some members slightly
colder. I would suggest air not quite cold enough for heavy enough snow
(lying snow) on that particular GFS output, plus the fact the models will
'mild out' nearer the time.
I suspect a *slacker* more NNE flow at the end of the day.. something
simialr to the UKMO.
The *point is* .... a good foundation ... some potential there for January\
February. And maybe some nice frosts over the Christmas period.... heaven
..

John, I think you'll be close to the mark there.

Richard. A cold snap at the end of December is common as you know. I
am going to look like and feel a real twit if it turns into anything
more prolonged.
I just try and stay objective. Have a good holiday meanwhile.
Cheers

No good for Bournemouth though (as usual) unless we get a low up the
channel.. no sign of that?
