i remember most of it the worst of it atleast

Hey, that one lasted longer than that. We had 2 days of sub zero temps
before the snow arrived. One day was a max of -5C. The snow fell later that
day and overnight and by the end of the day was 10 inches deep. It lasted
for over a week after that. In that time I had a minimum of -13C the lowest
since 1981. In 1987 I only got down to -12C.

The 1991 cold spell was a cracker and it led to a CET for that month (Feb
1991) of just 1.5C. That incidentally is the last month with a CET below 2C
BTW. Now thats a thought.
