Philip Eden Philip, What do you mean by "significant anticyclonic episode"? Record high pressure centred over central Europe - dragging in yet more south westerlies and a repeat of the "balmy Britain" headlines in 1989 / 90? Or perhaps a brief Scandinavian high that will build long enough to give us a short 5-day cold snap at the end of the month that will be enough to keep all the snow lovers on this group happy until next winter? Happy new year, Scott |

Philip Eden Thanks Philip. I must say that I am not suprised about the strong westerly. |
