Default [WR] Kent: not so cold at night but cold by day

Overnight minimum was -0.8C but temperature at 1200Z is currently barely
above freezing at 0.1C. No thaw of lying snow from yesterday - still a
good 8cm. Plenty of icicles too!

I'm rather surprised it's not a little colder than that, with
the lying snow. Here in Warlingham on the Downs in NE Surrey there is
the barest dusting of snow but last night's min was -1.4°C and today's
max (so far) was -0.4°C at about 11 Z. Now down to about -1.5°C.
The St has gone and there is a lot of medium stuff and some Ci. If the
sky cleared completely I think the temperature would drop further, even
though the sun is up (1410Z). Interestingly, the ground is not frozen.
First max below 0°C since 8 Jan 2003.

The difference in altitude could be the cause - 8m (24ft) here.
Temperature at 1405Z still 0.1C.
