After a 76 hour spell with sub-zero temperatures and a minimum of -9.8C,
the milder weather arrived this morning. And despite dire warnings, the heavy snow somehow managed to miss us. Not even heavy rain for us. We had a dusting of snow overnight, then a period of sleet which conveniently arrived while I was outside chopping wood. I am coming to the conclusion that a good northerly is needed for decent snow in the Glen of the Livet. My Mother in the East Riding tells me she has more snow than she needs or wants and I am welcome to any or all of it. Should I not get chance to post tomorrow (I have more than one event to celebrate), may I wish you all a Happy New Year. I have just had a slice of Black Bun, consumed with a piece of Wensleydale, betraying my roots somewhat. Currently 0.8C, 983mb, wind calm. -- Steve Loft, Glenlivet. 200m ASL Weather and webcam: http://www.livet.org.uk/weather |
