wrote: UKMO have brought a whole new meaning to the term "Lying Snow" The forecast for my area was for sleet or rain overnight. We got over an hour of snow in the early evening which gave nearly an inch of lying snow at 100% crisp snow cover for 6 to 8 hours until overnight rain washed it all away. The forecast and warnings were understated, not exaggerated, for my area (South Hampshire). Dave Fareham. |
