The CF passed through at about 01:15z with a dramatic temperature drop
from 8.5°C to 4.6°C at 02:00z. What would appear to have been a line squall passed through at about 08:30z giving a burst of sleet and a further temperature drop from 4.8°C to 3.2°C. The rainfall rate as this passed through was 7.2mm/hr. As the mean temperature yesterday was 9.9°C this is quite a change. Currently, blustery showers of sleet with snow lying above about 600 metres. At 09:00z:- 8/8 Sc/As. Temperature 3.2°C. Dew point 3.2°C. RH 100%. Wind 7 mph gusting to 17 mph, WNW. Max gust 34 mph, SSW, at 00:45z. Barometer 999.9 mb, rising. Precipitation since 00:00z, 9.6 mm at a maximum rate of 7.2mm/hr at 08:45z. Total precipitation this month 133.0 mm. Total precipitation this year 133.0 mm.
