Default Pics from Evia isl: 1.5-2m, drifting to 3.5m

Good evening. I just received the following pictures from Evia isl. (Steni
village). Steni is roughly over 1000 ft asl, in the lee side of the mountain
of Dirfys in Evia. That island with its cone shaped mountain is the very
first barrier to the cold, moist air that comes from the central and
northern Aegean sea with a bitter cold northeasterly so if temperatures are
correct, like they are in winter, some villages get literally meters of snow
even at a low altitude, even at the lee side of the mountains. I don't think
there are many areas in Greece with such low altitude that receive so much
snow every year. Enjoy Steni two days after the snowfalls and after the
roads were made accessible again (all pics by Solon Tsakiris) :

Amazing amount of snow Yannis, not quite so much in Athens but the video's
interesting in the way the icicles appear then disappear
