Default [WR] Haytor 28/1/06 summary (Snow and wind chill)

Day max. 3.0 deg C
Night min -2.5 deg C

Light snow fell overnight giving 90% cover at 0900 this morning 1cm.
Water equivalent 0.6 mm.
Temperature did not rise above freezing until noon and even fell mid-morning as
the sun was cut-off by high cloud to the south.
Low blowing/drifting powder snow at 450m asl on Hay Tor with significant wind
chill in a force 5-6 NE wind this morning.
Most snow thawed at home in the afternoon, leaving a few patches in shady areas.
More snow left on the moor and Hay Tor still looked white at dusk.

2115 Temp +0.7 deg C
Dewpoint -4 deg C
Rather cloudy.
Wind NE 5 knots.
