I havent had many, in fact this is only my second since I started in 1999,
last was Jan 5th 2003 Max was -0.7c making this my coldest day on record Currently at 0900hrs -3.2c - Fog Slight deposit of oblong shaped crystals noted on the roof of the car, windward facing trees and shrubs have a thick coat of frost, hopefully if the sun comes out will make for some good photos. _______________________________ Paul Crabtree Brampton, Cumbria 117m A.S.L www.bramptonweather.co.uk |

Hi, Paul, Above the fog here again, so bright sunshine. Two more hours will bring us up to the average 57 hours. High here yesterday 2.1C and 0.4C at Copley Lead Mill. Overnight screen minima -8.2C Met O site and -9.0C Lead Mill, grass min -14.9C, so some decent ranges, but not as high as Altnaharra!! I see Gt Dun Fell was up to 11C yesterday, now that's an inversion! Best wishes, Ken, Copley 253metres asl, nr Barnard Castle, County Durham http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/copley |

Family report "rivers of fog" down in the valley both morning and evening. Bit colder this morning, -6.9C at 0820, again valley full of fog. Indeed it was slowly drifting up from Alston towards Garrigill below us. A degree or so colder down in the town. Now 1100 and we have just about got up to 0C in brilliant, bright, blazing sunshine. It's times like this I'm glad we don't live lower down and suffer the murk. -- Cheers Dave. pam is missing e-mail |
