The high minimum of +9.8ºC on the 19th is a new site record for
January. Persistent Freezing fog on the 30th produced and ice day at this
site, only the third recorded here in January in twelve years. The maximum
of -1.6ºC is likely the lowest January value locally since the memorable
1987.
A dry month with around 50% of the expected precipitation.
Sunshine and temperature values slightly above average. No days with snow
lying at any point, the only January to achieve such a feat in at least 12
years and probably far longer - a very disappointing statistic.
