Countryfile forecast been and gone, and some folks on TWO are whining
like babies

Why? Cause the presenter didn't show that it would snow over the top of
their heads possibly

Is there any pleasing some people?

Quite a lot of places stand a good chance of seeing something wintry
this coming week

The forecasters had better be afraid, when it comes to forecasting
mild, spring like weather... they might get shot !!!! :\

I thought the forecast was pretty accurate, however, it's those hidden
troughs, polar lows and the like that spring up in hours where ever they
feel like, that's the major headache for the forecasters, fingers crossed.

How often do we get snow when it wasn't forcast? 50% of the time.

A northerly, even better a north-westerly is far better than an
easterly here. Polars lows, troughs and all manner of interesting
features are music to the ears of any NW-England snow lover!

The trouble with winds swinging round too far to the west is
of course that it won't be cold enough to snow. However with the
seas being around their coldest of the year, any such N/NW
sceanario must have a reasonable chance of producing the
goods here.

Yep. I was thinking that this winter has been not dissimilar to that
winter.
