Tonight, on News 24, Darren Bett managed to fit "its way" after three

to fill? I'm not picking on him particularly - he was just the last straw.
Almost all the BBC forecasters now use "its way" wherever possible. Are
they running some sort of contest to see who can achieve the most
unnecessary uses of "its way"?

Helen Willets said earlier that it we will see the strongest winds of the
year so far! Helen... it's the 7th of January!

I think it was Helen that said that the winds would be strong,
particularly over Scotland, Northern Ireland, England and Wales.........

That was Louise Lear this morning. It did make me smile. She also said
the other day that rainfall amounts would be highest on exposed
headlands :-)
