If you visit http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/current/UUEE.html it
currently says: Precipitation amount 51.20 inches In the 24 hours preceding Feb 28, 2006 - 11:30 AM EST / 2006.02.28 1630 UTC Now clearly they have not has 51.2 inches of snow today.
