Chalfont St Giles - Saturday 8th January 2005
-------------------------------------------------------------- 0630z W F5 20km RERA 5Sc015 08.9/05.4 1003 RMK: Cold front went through at around 0530 with a short burst of heavy rain. 3mm fell between 0525 and 0530. Total rain 1800-0600 is only 4.1mm. It was a windy night but nothing overly exciting. My guesstimate is that max gusts were around 45 knots. We've lost a couple of fence panels but that's the only damage I can see in our immediate area. The wind has dropped now and stars are shining brightly through large breaks in the cloud. Norman.
