Default [WR] Snow-Rain AWS Problem

New to this Met Stuff

My AWS (Weatherlink 5.5.1 s/w / Davis Vantage Pro2) showed 0.001 rain
today when there was no rain -
must have been melted snow??

How do I record the difference between snow & rain?

I edited the database to show no rain but also keeping a separate record of
days when snow
not rain.

Is this correct?
