A complete change from the blazing blue skies of the last few days.
Wet snow lying on the grass, visibility c.1.5km and cloudbase c.100metres. At 08:15:- 8/8 Ns. Temperature 2.3°C rising from a low of 0.8°C at 02:45. Dew point 2.3°C RH 100% Wind 2 mph, gusting to 7 mph, NE. Max gust 8 mph, NE, at 04:00. Barometer 1008.2 mb, falling at 1mb/hr. Precipitation since midnight 6.2 mm at a maximum rate of 1.6 mm/hr. Total precipitation this month 6.4mm. Total precipitation this year 213.2mm. -- Alan White Twenty-eight miles NW of Glasgow, overlooking Lochs Long and Goil in Argyll, Scotland.
