23:35 Saturday
What looked like light drizzle/sleet a couple of hours ago has now definitely turned to snow, falling at a moderate rate in a strong E-ENE wind. Still fine particles, air temperature 0.8C. I see the weather warnings out for Scotland, but given the forecast and present conditions I'm not sure why we don't have one too. If, as is forecast, this continues for most of the night, and the temperature does drop to well below freezing, we are in for some very interesting conditions come the morning. The only comment on the Met Office Wales forecast is "Risk of disruption from lying snow" for tomorrow. Time will tell.
