Looking at some of the recent average wind speeds across Denmark this
afternoon there could be a fair bit of damage here. Copenhagen is reporting
mean speed of 44 mph, Esbjerg 56mph and Odense 48 mph and now extending to
southern Sweden.

Ekofisk Oil Platform have had up to 86 mph sustained winds, and gusts
at least to 94 mph (when I checked).
86 mph = 138 km/h = 38 m/s.
Gradually decreasing now.
Wonder how southernmost Norway will do later now...
I live a bit further north than this.

Widespread gusts of 60-70KT over Denmark at 1600Z with a 90KT gust being
reported at Hanstholm in the NW. I'm reliably informed discussions were
held with our European counterparts yesterday with reference to today's
weather.
