Dunkeld, Perthshire.
At 06:00 we had 960 mB here, less than 5 hours later we had 981 mB. For this part of the world (where a little local flooding represents extreme weather) this was a fairly deep hole in the sky. |

Hi Ian
The rise in pressure was of the same magnitude here. But more stunning was the 10mb rise in one hour between 7am and 8am. I presume your barometer isn't calibrated to compensate for altitude? as 960mb seems a very low reading. You are right, the machine isn't compensated for altitiude (wife's Christmas present I just brought back from the Far East last week!) - I think the readings should be increased by about 3.5millibars. Still an unusual ROC, especially for this part of the world. Ian "Alex Stephens Jr" wrote in message ... Hi Ian The rise in pressure was of the same magnitude here.
