In message , Ron Button
writes Norman ,what on earth are you doing sending out obs timed at 0615z,do you have a paper round, or have to milk the cows ?( or a very devoted wife....) Regards RonB It's when I start work :-) Best time of the day IMHO. During my career I've often had to start work a lot earlier than that. While in Australia I had spells at Rockhampton and Mount Isa airports. They were single forecaster offices manned Mon-Fri mornings. The bulk of the forecasting had to be done before all the light aircraft started flying at first light. The working day started at 5 a.m. You get used to it! Norman.
