Default [OT] earthquakes and a heat wave

A 6.4R earthquake hit the isle of Lefkada in the Ionian sea yesterday at
08:14':53'' EEST (map of the epicent
http://www.gein.noa.gr/services/recent-earth2.html). The earthquake was felt
along the western coasts of continental Greece and Epirus, the northern
Ionian isles, while some felt it in Athens, too. The epicentre was 30 km WNW
of the town of Lefkada. The local road network suffered some damages but,
thankfully, no severe accidents were reported. The post-seismic activity is
normal (a 5.3R, a 5.4R and dozens of smaller tremors) and it is believed
that yesterday morning's earthquake was the main one.

In the meanwhile, temperatures have started to rise considerably again and
Greece is taking the lead from northwestern and central Europe
temperaturewise, as local 40C readings are not out of the question for the
weekend.
Greetings from an empty -due to today's holiday- Athens.

The quake never ended the run of spells that caused the heatwave?

Expect more seismicity.

Especially in areas near major fault lines..........
