writes davis vantage pro 1! I have one! Great stuff! had it 4 months or so now. Use weather display software to capture the data onto a pc! When you get a vantage pro station, get it wireless! Also get it with the console too! as it acts as a data storage device when the pc isnt turned on! so you dont loose data! the vantage pro 1's should be cheap now as vp2 is out, but the only improvement is wireless technology, nothing to do with weather!! Stuart Thanks for your help and all the other replies. I have taken the plunge and am getting a VP1 or possibly VP2 if the older model unavailable -- Keith Thompson SPAM BLOCK IN OPERATION! ![]() Won't mounting the vane on a flexible post promote vibration and henc early failure of the switch? No I don't believe so. Normally reeds fail only when the sealed contacts 'weld' together. The failure time is related to the amount of current they are passing and whether any spark quenching is used across the switch. Vibration frees the weld. |
