Thankfully the wind switched from the S.E. to S.W. overnight with the
result that warm, spring sunshine has replaced the horrific, wet,
November-like gloom of yesterday.

Max today has been 13.3C - the highest since 14th November. The change
in wind direction did not occur until early morning. Prior to this
there was another 7.8mm of rain taking the monthly total to an
exceptionally high 102.2mm. 52.2mm of this fell in the 34 hours ending
0445 BST today.

Wind still E'ly here on Fair Isle, but at least it has eased back
from a the F7 of yesterda to F5-6 AND its stopped raining. Rainfall
for the 25th (including rain &snow) was 23.2mm.
Air temp presently 3.8C DP 2.0C. Definitely still no sign of spring
at 60N!
