Hi, Keith,

With a mean of 5.8C was it not colder than your bracketed figures for
1996 and 1987,( 7.1C and 7.2C) by quite a big margin?

Or have I missed something?

Hi Ken,

No, I got the figures mixed there, the 7.1°c and 7.2°c figures are
maximum average (8.7°c 2006), whereas the 5.8°c is the mean (max+min/2)
for 2006.
1996 mean 4.7°c
1987 mean 4.0°c

Thanks
