Default Today's model interpretation (10/04/06)

Here is a summary of the latest NWP output for noon on Good Friday. Issued
0532z, 10 Apr 06.

The runs continue to show a relatively unsettled spell for much of the UK
with westerlies or WNW'lies; as usual most of the rain will be in the north
and west.

Westerlies cover the UK with complex low pressure to the north and high
pressure over France. A trough moves eastwards over the UK at T+144,
bringing southerlies to many areas and westerlies to Northern Ireland. By
T+168 the UK lies under brisk NW'lies, with low pressure persisting to the
north.

The Canadian run shows NW'lies for all with low pressure to the north.

JMA: http://217.160.75.104/pics/Rjma1201.gif
JMA also shows NW'lies, with the Azores High to the SW. The high ridges over
the Celtic Sea at T+144, leading to a mixture of westerlies and NW'lies.

A col covers England and Wales with light winds there. Winds are westerlies
over Northern Ireland and Scotland with complex low pressure to the NW,
north and NE.
