The 10:31 webcam shot shows a tanker on its way to Finnart Oil
Terminal, about 2 km north of here. Unfortunately, I missed it until
it was past and then caught a glimpse of it through the trees. We
generally get a couple a week unloading crude to the pipeline to
Grangemouth or loading refined from the pipeline from Grangemouth.
They turn through 180° before docking which must have been
'interesting' with the current wind.

We also get Royal Fleet Auxiliaries heading to and from the NATO jetty
at Glenmallan, 4 km north, loading 'assets' stored in the Glen Douglas
Munitions Depot. The 'Ark Royal' paid a visit to load up before it
sailed for the Gulf in 2003 and we've also had 'Invincible'.

'Water devils' spiraling up Loch Long now. Quite difficult to
photograph so I've given up.
